You know that 'arctic blast' I mentioned a few posts ago... Well...its just keeps on comin'! The 5 inches shown earlier went away. Then it iced. Then snowed. And snowed. And snowed. 9 inches. This ruler is perched a'top the tonneau cover on my truck. I might have some difficulty digging myself out of here... Particularly since we Orygun folk are not equipped for this kind or amount of freezing precipation.

Toddlers & Train Rides
We took a train ride from OR to MT for Thanksgiving. 12 hour jaunt. We started at 5pm. I thought for sure a couple hours of getting used to the ride would settle the babe in nicely and she'd find herself in slumberland maybe an hour later than her regular bedtime. HA! HAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA! That's my delirious laugh. Not my babe. I've always known it...but thought I could maybe talk myself into talking HER into it...but she DOESN'T SLEEP, unless she's in her own bed. So...she did doze her crazy tired head for a very too short time frame somewhere around 1am. Then finally fell into a hard sleep at 5am...right before we arrived. So...we won't be taking a train again any time soon.
But anyways...this picture...is of my sweet social little butterfly helping herself to the neighbor's tato chips. :O)

This strip of railroad is very cool! I have a whole set and so long as time permits, I will hopefully add the set to my other photo blog. Stay tuned! (And keep your fingers crossed that I find the time! Eep!)

Eye Candy
I work at the Nike World Headquarters and this campus is SO amazing! Every morning these days I'm in awe and amazement at what the colors are doing to the scenery. Here's a little bitty that I park by every day. Stay tuned to my photo blog for more pictures! I collected a bunch from one small portion of the campus. There's a whole lot more campus to cover! And its all worth covering! :O)

Little Bitty Sneaks
In God We Trust
It saddens me that we have new money being made that is void of the words 'In God We Trust'. After all, it is God who created wealth. When I find a penny on the ground, I take a moment to ponder the One who provides. Always.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

Kind Words
Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey; sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
There's nothing like the written word of affirmation or encouragement. :O) It can be kept and savored for days when the weather is a little blue, to bring the sunshine out in your soul. It's so simple, yet so profound.
Drop someone a little beam of sunshine today! :O)

Very Cool Tree
I had a Senior photo shoot today and I'm telling you...I have been so blessed with the weather for my shoots! It could not have been a more beautiful day! High 60s and not a cloud in the sky. A perfect breeze that is SO great for the subtle hair blowing of brilliant pictures! Wee!
We came across this really cool tree! I love old trees with lotsa character like this one. Add cool (warm?) Fall colors and some tall grass...makes for a pretty groovy back drop for pics.

Shepherd's Door
Today I was able to get off work a little bit early. I asked the Lord what He would like me to do with my day...and He said Shepherd's Door, which is a part of the Portland Rescue Mission that houses homeless women and children. I have a collection of clothes I've had boxed up and ready to go. Today was a good day to get them delivered!
Job 31:16-30
16 "If I have denied the desires of the poor or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,
17 if I have kept my bread to myself, not sharing it with the fatherless-
18 but from my youth I reared him as would a father, and from my birth I guided the widow-
19 if I have seen anyone perishing for lack of clothing, or a needy man without a garment,
20 and his heart did not bless me for warming him with the fleece from my sheep,
21 if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, knowing that I had influence in court,
22 then let my arm fall from the shoulder, let it be broken off at the joint.

Willowtree Angels
Here's some more of my Willowtree angels.
The first is a box for wishes. I'm going to start placing little pieces of rolled up paper inside with wishes...to view at a later time...as proof that God answers prayers. :O)
The second (middle) is the angel of caring.
The third is the angel of friendship.
